STANDARDISED PRICE LIST

(REQUIRED BY LAW)

In 2018, the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) initiated an inquiry into the funeral industry, prompted in part by concerns over the lack of transparency in pricing packages, particularly in sectors dominated by corporate ownership. This opacity hindered families from comparing prices effectively or understanding the services included in the offerings.

One significant outcome of this investigation is the requirement for every funeral director to furnish a standardized price list for attended funerals, adhering to a specific format mandated by the CMA. These lists are made publicly available as downloadable PDFs.

The standardized price list format pertains to a traditional style of attended funeral, featuring prices for services such as a traditional hearse, oak veneer coffin, and chapel of rest visit.

Our Bespoke and Simple Farewell Service funeral options, detailed above, cater to the preferences of families seeking simpler or more contemporary funeral arrangements. Each option is transparently itemized and priced, ensuring clarity and ease of comparison for families navigating their choices.
